A gaggle of us gals trotted off to West Hollywood for Fashion’s Night Out at What Katie Did. Since the opening of What Katie Did was the weekend of the Art Deco Fest, we had to wait till Thursday to be able to view this hotly-anticipated little jewel from across the pond. Fortunately, as they participated in Fashion’s Night Out, it gave us an excuse to get together, gawk and drool over the new lingerie pieces we wanted to add to our wardrobe.
What Katie Did specializes in vintage-inspired lingerie and corsetry. We had a great time sipping a gin tipple from teacups and tasting the scrumptious cupcakes from the Vintage Patisserie.
While I didn’t get any lingerie, I did purchase their beautiful lingerie book and a little Besame makeup for my dressing table (this isn’t my dressing table, by the way, if it isn’t obvious).

I recommend trying on the lingerie in person, if possible, and getting properly fitted. Some of the lingerie, being made like vintage lingerie, doesn’t have the stretch and give that modern lingerie has. If you can’t make it in store and can only order online, pay close attention to the sizing notes on the website. It gives lots of detail on how to get the best fitting garment. The ladies working there are very sweet and personable, so there is no embarrassment factor.
We had a grand time and I can’t wait to take another jaunt to pick up something saucy.
