Ever since I heard Besame had opened a little boutique near me, I was eager to go and visit. I love Besame Cosmetics and while I’ve been able to see the little displays some vintage shops and vendors set up, I wanted to see the whole line together and ensure nothing would be sold out. I was in for a real treat.
What I love about Besame Cosmetics is they are kind to your face, with natural ingredients you can actually recognize, yet without skimping on the beautiful pigments, packaging and product quality that hearken back to a more glamorous age. I grabbed Lily, partner in crime, and we went by the little boutique in Glendale. We had the shop all to ourselves and Gabriela Hernandez herself, the founder of Besame, showed us all of the products. She even included some sneak peeks I’m happy to share with you.
The store delights with vintage style displays and product that charms the eye.
One of the lovely gift options coming up is the adorable signature Besame makeup case to store all of your travel makeup essentials.
Kenley Collins of Project Runway fame collaborated on the next gift set. It includes a lovely scarf and lipstick inspired by Kenley herself. The lipstick is highly pigmented, even more concentrated and cooler than Besame Red, so if you like richly-colored lipstick, this one may be the one for you. Snap up the gift set while you have the chance. When the limited-edition set with scarf disappears, it is gone.
The next item which I am anxious to get my hands on is the cake mascara and liner. The set comes with both a mascara wand and a sable brush for the liner. This will come out in either February or March 2013.
While I couldn’t purchase the new gift options just yet, I was able to purchase the new Brightening Violet Powder. I’m looking forward to experimenting with it. When I visited the store, I got to select a gift with purchase. Of the three options, I chose a lovely red Lip Glaze.
I will be back at Besame very soon to see the new gorgeous options to make me feel beautiful.
Note, the address has changed since my original blog posting. New address is:

Oh my goodness! I need to go visit! I'm a huge fan of the Besame lipsticks and recently started using their powder foundation and I absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing all of these photos, that gift set is definitely going to be on my holiday "wish list"! 🙂
Mine too!
Hey great blog! Nice article on Besame too. I've seen it pre- boutique, very excited to get back and SHOP!
Thank you, Katie! You should go back soon!
I am so glad that there is actually a line out there that gets every vintage detail down to a science. That photo with all the Besame products on the vanity table makes my heart swoon. Does Gabriela work there most days?
I'm not sure if she works there every day or not, but her husband was there as well. Seems like where they run the business from.
